Agendas and reports for all formal meetings of the Joint Committee are published 5 clear working days before the meeting.

Draft minutes are published within 2 working days of a meeting. They are subject to approval at the next ordinary meeting.

Formal committees

The Combined Authority has the following formal committees -

  • Joint Committee
  • Business Committee (Advisory)

Pending creation of the Combined Authority -

  • Overview and Scrutiny Committee is undertaken within each constituent council separately. The details of meetings at which scrutiny is undertaken can be found online for Hull and for East Riding of Yorkshire Council
  • Audit and Governance are currently overseen by the Audit Committees of each council

Public participation

Members of the public may ask questions at meetings of the Joint Committee.

You must give notice and provide the text of your question or statement to the clerk by emailing louise.hawkins@hullcc.gov.uk. Email no later than midday, 2 working days before the meeting. You can find contact details on the agenda front sheet for the meeting.

Members of the public who have given notice will be invited to speak when the relevant agenda item is being considered. This is if they wish to ask a question on an item which is on the agenda for the meeting.

At the meeting each speaker should limit themselves to no more than 3 minutes.
