The Combined Authority is required to have a Corporate Governance Code and Framework which is consistent with the principles of the best practice guidance issued jointly by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) and is based on six core principles.
The Annual Governance Statement is prepared each year and submitted as part of the audited accounts.
Assurance Framework
The joint Assurance Framework for the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority sets out the arrangements that the Combined Authority have in place to ensure that public money is managed effectively. It explains how the Combined Authority -
